Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes, reach out for a 20 minute phone or video consultation to discuss what you're looking to work on in therapy, scheduling, fees, and to answer any questions about how I work. This is a great chance for you to get a feel for if you think we'd be a good fit.
Do you offer telehealth and in-person sessions?
At this moment, I only offer telehealth sessions to people located in Oregon, Washington DC, or Maryland.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically scheduled for about 55 minutes.
How often will we meet?
This is entirely up to you. I like to start meeting once a week to build rapport and figure out the course of treatment we will take, but then frequency of sessions will be up to you and based on what you need. Some clients may want to meet up to twice a week, while others are fine to meet monthly or on an as-needed basis.
What can I expect?
During the first couple sessions, we'll go over your background and discuss your goals for therapy. This part feels more like an interview than anything else. We'll create goals, discuss diagnoses, discuss symptoms, etc. After establishing this foundation, we'll launch into exploring your world/system and the parts that are coming up. We can use a more structured approach, or simply jump into discussing whatever feels pressing that day. I'll tailor it to the approach that feels best for you.
